The 5 ways of Wellbeing

CONNECT        TAKE NOTICE         KEEP LEARNING        GIVE        BE ACTIVE

We are using the  5 WAYS OF WELLBEING  as a model to explore how we can nurture capacities in young people to become more resilient and active citizens.

If we LEARN, GIVE TO OTHERS, CONNECT, BE ACTIVE & TAKE NOTICE, how does this impact on ourselves, others & the world?

Why connect Global Citizenship, Resilience and Wellbeing?

“So we can balance self to be able to work for a higher world, which is sustainable for us, the movements we work for and the planet”.

We all potentially have the wisdom to know what is needed for our own good health and the health of the world and others around us. Coming back to ourselves, discovering what we really need and reconnecting with nature and with ourselves will help enable us to look within to look outside. We can only be ok if everyone and everything around us is ok, which is the motivation to look after ourselves and build resilience, as well as the reason why we are active as global citizens. Working for a better world requires an understanding of the shared challenges we all are facing, an understanding of what needs to be done and knowledge of options to be active within this. However we also need to sustain ourselves and the movements working for a better world, otherwise we experience burnout. Self care, strengthening resilience and being aware of our surroundings will enable us to return to our innate wisdom as human beings, maintain a balance that is possible to contribute, and continue our contributions – all the while celebrating and smiling as we do so.

We used a web to demonstrate how interconnected the 5 WAYS OF WELLBEING  are.
