exploring our city and our global citizenship


Today we explored the city, with the following instructions!

Walk in the urban environment responding to the questions below provided with. 
Take images of what you observe in response to each prompt. In each image incroperate text, writing questions  comments and observations in different ways. For example 
Write with chalk on the ground within the scene you want to record
Write on a piece of paper, place it in the scene and photograph
Write text through an acetate and photograph scene through the acetate
You can hold text on the scene you are photographing.
Delete any images you took in error so the photos can be presented directly as a slide show. Please ensure that the images are taken on a camera device, phone , that allows direct connection to the projector for play back.


Purpose
To develop capacity to see the world through different eyes.
To improve awareness of surroundings, mindfulness and critical thinking skills
To develop thinking as s global citizen, looking at the interconnections and interdependences
To look at how the environment can be used to nurture, health, learning, sense of belonging.

Food is a social and political theme connecting us with the rest of the world 

We put things in the bin...we send them somewhere else. Where do we send our rubbish? Who has to deal with it? What is the impact?
